Nestled in the heart of Hornton, our story is inspired by one of the area’s most enduring and mysterious legends—the myth of the Dun Cow. In this tale, a wicked witch from the village used her dark magic to summon an enormous, fearsome cow with a coat of dun-colored fur. Under the witch's spell, the cow wreaked havoc across the countryside, its power and fury unmatched.

But as with all legends, a hero emerged. Saint Britius, a courageous Christian missionary, rose to face the challenge. Guided by divine wisdom and strength, he tamed the mighty creature, bringing peace back to the village and ending the witch’s reign of terror. While the cow’s rampage was silenced, the magical energy it left behind still lingers in the land, adding a touch of the mystical to our surroundings.
